Ascent Tree Solutions recently visited a regular customer in the village of Stainsby near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
This particular property has several trees that we manage every few years. In this instance, we were carrying out the reduction of a large mature Beech tree.
The reduction was undertaken as part of regular, routine maintenance work, as stated before. The main issue is that this tree at Stainsby is that it has a preservation order (TPO) on it.
Removing Deadwood at Stainsby
When dealing with trees that have a preservation order we have to be very careful not to damage the tree when carrying out works. Excessive hard pruning cannot be carried out without specific permission. So, we simply manage the tree as best we can whilst adhering to the guidelines.
Deadwood was removed from the canopy as part of the works. The presence of deadwood on the tree could have posed a danger for the residents of the property or to livestock or people walking underneath in the adjacent field.
We climbed into the tree canopy using ropes and then our expert Tree Surgeons carefully removed the dead and dying branches.
The application was made by ATS to the local planning authority.
